the legendary Etta James, Diana Ross and the Queen Ms. Dinah Washington, while at other time possessing the depth of powerful sounds of Stephanie Mills, Angela Winbush, and Minnie Ripperton; the angelic, yet dynamic voice of Julie Morris leaves her audiences mesmerized and chanting for more. Singing before she could talk, Julie was commanding performances that most children or adults could not fathom; before hundreds and in later years thousands, her” at-ease onstage persona” is only dreamt of by those, who continue their careers as shower and in-the-car singers. Whether, she’s before thousands singing the National Anthem during an NBA game or in an intimate nightclub setting, Julie creates a personal rapport within your soul, and upon meeting her personally, the warmth and love exude from her like intoxicating vapors. Versatility is her second skin, as she encompasses the genres of gospel, jazz, pop, and R&B without missing a beat. Unbeknownst to many, Julie is not only a singer, but lyricist and accomplished and published poet. Her first love, poetry, gives her the depth required to seek out the meaning of a song, which makes the delivery extremely potent.
